Tear Prayers
It’s those quite moments…You’re watching a video you didn’t mean to come across from some social media platform you didn’t mean to get on right now…A video pops up of your dream. Your dream life someone else is living…the pop of pink in a gender reveal, the award you’ve been working towards, the family you’ve hoped for, the music you’ve been trying to write, the job you’ve been applying for, the marriage you’ve always hoped for, and the tears fall. No words said, no big deal made, no jealousy in your heart or resentment for those that have found it. Just pure tears that need not be explained to the Almighty.
He hears those too. No prayer is too quiet, no heart-cry too small for His answering ear.
Tear prayers are enough when words aren’t. In a boat, on a plane, curled on the couch, in the grocery store, in your car, in a field, on the stage, behind your cubicle….it’s enough.
You are still enough.
