Look Both Ways Before Crossing
As I got older, I can still hear them in my head as I stand at the crosswalk, waiting for cars to pass before advancing. But, I no longer need them to hold my hand. They’ve taught me the “rules of the road” well enough that I can do it on my own.
With God, there will be times in your life where He doesn’t feel like He’s holding your hand. Maybe you’ve got a big decision coming up, a big speech, a scary trial, a hard path to cross and you don’t necessarily feel Him right at your side.
Do not be afraid. It may be because He’a already taught you “the rules of the road”. Stop, look back at other situation God HAS been holding your hand, and try to remember what He’s taught you.
Then, before advancing, don’t forget to “look both ways before crossing”.
