One thing I’m learning about God is that He never ever lets anything go to waste. He’s a creator. The great and magnificent, holy and divine designer of the stars and the moon, the creatures of the sea. He’s the One that made the giraffe with a long neck so they can reach, the one that changed the snakes feet, the Holy one who stopped the waters from overtaking the land.
Every season, every talent, every gift, every turmoil, every single little, big, annoying, appropriate, thing you are or have done...God will use. God can use. All you have to do is take another step. And then another. Take the step you aren’t sure of, the one you don’t know if you’re ready for, the one you’ve been praying about, avoiding...
I heard this preacher say one time that isn’t it interesting how when Jesus was walking through the crowds of people, He felt the woman with the issue of blood touch him? Imagine this...He had TONS of people around, pushing and shoving, all trying to get to him. The disciples were trying to be like body guards and people were all yelling his name.....and all of the sudden...
The woman approaches. She crawls under the crowds as she repeats “...if I may but touch the hem of His garment...if I may but touch...if I may but touch...”. Buckled over for years and years in pain...she crawls...”...if I may but touch...if I may but touch...” ...And as she reached out and touched the hem of his garment...it stopped Him in his tracks as he said “who touched me?”
The disciples were like “uh Jesus, who DIDN’T touch you, dude...”
Her faith pulled His power.
The preacher that talked about this said “there’s going to be a lot of things that will push and shove you for your attention. Go towards the one that is pulling you. That one that wakes you up in the middle of the night. The silent humming of your soul of something deeper in you. There’s books in you! Songs the earth has never sung in you. Scriptures the world has never deciphered in you! A way to befriend like this place has never seen all right there in you...pulling...
Take another step my dear friend.
Joshua 1:9 “have I not commanded you, be strong and courageous and do not be afraid. For I will be with you wherever you go”.
He doesn’t waste anything. He uses everything, and everyone. You are needed here
